We renovated this house in two stages. Stage one reworked the kitchen, dining and lounge. In stage two we extended in several places to pick up the views and daylight, stripped off the old stucco and re-clad the outside in weatherboards over a cavity, and swapped every window and door for aluminium double glazing. A new roof went on with five skylights.
Both bathrooms were redone, and a sunroom, office and media room were added. The whole house was re-insulated and fitted with ducted heating. Custom joinery runs through the home and took careful planning so that everything worked and fitted. There are several new decks, one under a glass pergola.
The owners loved colour and texture, which made it a fun job for the whole crew. Wallpaper in every room, bold colours and layered lighting, including hidden LED strips and little star lights that shift the mood as the day goes on.
In the end, no part of the original house or section was left untouched.
